Wild Wilderness Weekend

Here we goooo!! (in my head that sounds like Peter Pan when they all set off flying to Neverland, adjust accordingly in your own mind)
On Saturday we had a rip-roarin' blast up at Butcher Jones and Saguaro Lake. Mark and I had originally planned to go up Friday night and camp out but turns out I had some chores and he had some homework and adulthood stepped in and trashed that idea.
So Saturday morning we packed up the truck after I revamped some old jean shorts, and we were about to head on our way when....the truck wouldn't start. Boo. So we gave it a quick jump. Our poor Gunter ('91 GMC Jimmy) is having a rough time. He can't seem to figure out how to idle. Maybe he has parkinsons. I dunno. But the jump did the trick! So we went to Walmart to pick up the necessary Jones and ice. Camping and lake trips are just not complete without some good ol' Jones soda.
Apparently Mark has the bladder of a 90 year old woman and needed to take a potty break, leaving me in line to buy our few items. I moseyed over behind an elderly fellow hugging my 2 packs of Jones to my chest in an effort to not drop and destroy them. My exchange with the man in front of me went something like this...
"You're holdin' on to those pretty tight!"
"What? Oh yeah, haha. Gotta protect the goods!"
"Would you like to put them in my cart? They must be pretty heavy."
"Oh, I'm fine. Thank you though!"
"You can go on ahead. I'm waiting for my wife. Don't know where she ran off to..."
"Haha, it's easy to get lost around here...or just distracted."
He went on to tell me about how usually she's the one waiting for him but now he doesn't know what to do because he has to wait. He was so very dear and darling. Funnily enough, I went from behind one old man to another. This guy was almost done checking out and when the cashier handed him his change a dime fell to the floor and was spinning on the floor behind him. I bent down to grab it and when I handed it to him he complimented me on my "good eye" and I had a hard time not replying, "good torso". Brian Regan has basically scripted my life.
Mark was back by now and when we went to the ice fridge to pick up our two bags there was one sad little layer of bags along the bottom. We looked at each other and Mark voiced both our thoughts; "Judging by the amount of ice in here..."
"This is gonna be fuuun..." I finished for him.
Spring break and the beautiful weather from the past couple days? I'm sure everybody had the same idea as us.
We put all the drinks and ice into the cooler and headed up Power and out of town. We were gettin' close and my stomach growled causing me to sit up straight and nearly shout, "OH! We forgot subway!"
"Crap, we did."
We looked across the street and whaddya know?
"Hey, look. Subway!"
We were both starving so we got footlongs each. They were wrapping up our sandwiches and "Celebration" was on over the speakers. I was feeling giddy and hyper so I started dancing right there in the Subway and humming along to the song. The lady at the cash register points at me and exclaims,
"You get a free cookie!"
They gave me a free raspberry cheesecake cookie just for dancing!! I couldn't believe it. She tried to get Mark to dance for a cookie but his cold blank stare was quite clear; there would be no dancing from him that day. Dear, dear husband of mine.
Loaded down with all the supplies any hopeful campers could dream of, off we headed into the wild blue yonder!

Yum, yum sammiches.

Lovely camping/beach chairs.
I meant to get a picture of Mark's chair,
it would sink down into the sand about 3 inches.
Really silly.

A bird got to my leftovers!!

RUDE.

Ahem....Noodle wars.

(boo. I will try uploading the video at a later time)
(stupid blogger.com)

Beach puppy.

Campfires aren't allowed at Butcher Jones so we needed to go on an adventure to find somewhere to cook our dinners and have some jolly arsonist fun. We had little faith in the hondas getting anywhere four wheeling back in the depths of Butcher Jones. So everybody had to pile into our already packed to the brim truck. But hey, lovebirds don't mind being cozy.
Screaming and laughing and crazy careening ensued.
Pretty soon we discovered that Alex was not having the time of his life. Allie asked if anything was wrong and he replied with this gem;
"When I get scared I grab myself and it's starting to hurt!"

Obviously he meant it innocently enough but there was raucous laughter for a full 3-4 minutes after that. Quote of the month, that is.
Soon after that, it was getting close to dark and we were no closer to finding a promising area. We knew we needed to get down into a wash but every fork we came to that led down appeared suicidal. We settled to just bonfire at the top of the hill. I myself was halfway down the hill to look for wood scraps when apparently everyone reconsidered and decided it would be better down at the bottom.

(another video may or may not end up here)

Snippet from earlier;
Hubby doesn't approve of small Dew cans.

Product of firewood search.
Drug a tree probably 20 yards.
We didn't even end up using it.
/facepalm

FIRE!!

Spontaneous Craft Act

I have these shorts that I can't use anymore for normal day-to-day wear since they're not quite long enough but they work great for summer pool days, lake days, the like. But they are also from Walmart. So the craftmanship is not fabulous to say the least. They used to fold up at the bottom real cute-like but then I got them wet and it all went to flop. Rather like the soft skin on an old person. Not pretty.
Thusly, when I wanted to wear them to the lake this weekend to party with some friends in one last Spring Break hoorah, I decided to fix 'em up with my fairly newly acquired Bernina sewing machine. Trusty ol' gal, she is. Mostly I wanted to just sew up the folds so they wouldn't hang down in sad, saggy lumps but I also had a long wad of lace that never got used for our "vintagey" wedding reception. So at 10 in the morning when I was supposed to be packing up the truck to go on our camping/lake adventure, I sat down and went at it with the shorts.

As you can see, the bottom edge is just not so great. Turns out I also didn't even use the pins to keep the lace in place. It was more effort than it was worth, easy enough to just hold it with my hands.

Luckily my husband walked in right as I was about to begin, looked at what I was doing and basically pointed out that I was sewing them on the front of the fold rather than back behind it so the lace would stick out the bottom. I almost sewed lace onto the front so it would stick up towards my face.
Awesome. I'm so awesome guys.

Before fixing the folds...

After fixing the folds. Can you see my awesome stitching lines? I promise I wasn't drunk during this experiment, no matter the evidence pointing otherwise.

Wearing swimsuit bottoms under jean shorts makes for unseemly bulges but whatever. I MADE DEM.

Dancing Through Life

Sometimes I have a crisis when trying to figure out what Pandora station to listen to while blogging. Like I can even try to predict what's gonna happen when I finally chose a station.
Like, I just tried to pick my "Sky Sailing" channel to get some light, perky, innocent style music that would blend into the background easily. Instead I get "Liar Liar" by Christina Grimmie. No clue who you are but nice pipes there missy. But not at all what I wanna listen to while trying to blog about our anniversary! Go figure.
Oh, and spoiler alert; this is my anniversary post. Btdubs. I guess Michael Buble never disappoints. NEVER.

The actual day of our anniversary was on Sunday, the 10th. Naturally we didn't do too much that day as far as "celebrating". Mark was sick and I was dying and not to mention the Sabbath and all. But we made a friggin' BOMB dinner.

As I mentioned....DYING. That's my ghetto ricepack rig using
a huge long scarf to tie it to my aching belly.

We love grilling. By we I mean he. I just love eating. Close enough.

Attractive at it's best.

We tried, okay?
Romance is hard stuff.

I made twice-baked potatoes.
They were the best thing ever.
I cursed my own self.

4 lbs of meat, 6 different flavors.
Carnivorous love, folks.

I remembered to get out our cake!!
The interwebz were not helpful in figuring out
how to defrost it successfully. Although we laughed
at the suggestion to "let your dog at it" for the
easiest de'frost'ing.

We managed it though.

Super delish.
Thanks Mommy!!

I wanted to color. He got bored too fast.
I had to finish his page for him.

Only the best husbands buy bubbly
6-7 months in advance as an
anniversary plan B, forget about it,
and then pour you a surprise glass.

So that was Sunday. It was low-key and just us and our food experiments. We love cooking and cooking together is always an adventure. We ended the day with Wreck-It Ralph and once again the movie brought tears to my eyes multiple times. Everything about that movie is so great. Most especially Alan Tudyk being a Mad Hatter-esque, "salmon" pink obsessed villain. Not to mention, my absolute FAVORITE Pixar short was released with that movie.
As a matter of fact, here. Watch. Be emotionally manipulated.

Anyway. So originally we bought a groupon to a skating rink for Christmas/my birthday but we never got around to it. Naturally I had the genius idea to save it for our anniversary. With this week being Spring Break our schedules were slightly opened a little bit. He's taking one online class, I'm in one biology course at CGCC, and it gets my mornings open with the high school being out as well. So really, life didn't change much for Spring Break. Huzzah for being working adults with realtime jobs. /sigh.

But this week would still be the easiest time to take a day off and celebrate the fact that we made it a year without either of us packing up and peacing out. We're just more crazy now. White jackets with mega long sleeves and padded walls crazy, mind you. Not that sappy "crazy-about-you" nonsense.
So we picked Wednesday since that's my one full-day-off and he's got vacation time stacked up the wazoo at work.
That morning we drove out to Scottsdale Fashion Square to visit the store we'll eventually take my ring to when we wanna exchange out the rock crystal center stone for moissanite. It's a real thing. A real cool thing. Check it out.
Turns out we couldn't find it. But I found the H&M real quick, so we stopped in there for a swift perusal. Luckily, nothing stood out and begged me to take it home so it really was a fast stop and we were in and out in less than 10 minutes.
Mark took me to lunch where he and his coworkers go quite often. He tried to bring me home some vittles from the Four Peaks Brewery once but the leftovers were nothing compared to the real thing.

The fries are the best thing on this planet and
our burger was perfection.
We shared so we wouldn't be too full for dinner.

We wanted a picture in front of the logo,
but there were people.

By that time the rink was about to open and we had no idea where we were going or how to get there, so we headed out and braved the lunch trafficked streets of Scottsdale/Phoenix. I am constantly so glad he drives for these things because I can't deal with the stupid people.
So I had no idea, but Arcadia Ice Rink is super ghetto. Which was perfect! There weren't billions of people and all their tiny, flailing children sprawling across the ice begging to have their fingers sliced off. It was so chill, and we had a lot of fun.

K, you can't even see anything (except my lovely muffintop) but I BIFFED it. Major.
Mark was done and I was all, "I'll take a couple more spins around the rink."
KARMA. Karma sucker punched me halfway around my first lap.
I nicked my pick on the ice, flew forward,
promptly landing flat on my knees and hip.
Graceful, I'm sure.
My camera flew out of my pocket
and the battery/memory compartment even opened.
That was the force of the impact. Awesome.

So with Mark all tuckered out and me all gimpified on both legs, we had some time to kill before our dinner reservation at 6 so we first got a gallon of water at Wal-Mart and I picked up a cute new swimsuit for this weekend! Headed to the lake with a group of friends. More things to blog about! Woohoo!!
Then we took a gander through the petsmart and looked through all the doggie books and I creeped on a regal looking pit bull who was there for whatever reason dogs go to Petsmart. I was just super excited to see a dog, I didn't really think about why he was there.
After we couldn't find anymore reasons to loiter in the petsmart, we drove back to the Superstition Springs mall to see what movies were playing at the Super Saver. Which was nothing at all worth seeing. Or at least nothing that worked with our time frame.
I can't not share this little tidbit; we were walking through the mall and passed all those jewelry stores. Obviously, I had to sing "every kiss begins with Kay" as obnoxiously as I could. Mark replies, "Or G," when I was done. We walked in silence for a minute while I tried to figure out what he meant.

Finally I asked, "why a 'g'?" and he says,
"No reason. I just wanted to say 'orgy'."
Guys, no joke. I asked if that was a meme or something. He made that up. What a little nasteh.

Our next option was the Half Price Books right around the corner, which I would never turn down.

My injuries were not fading with "walking it off".
My kind husband offered to go get the car
and then come pick me up. I wimped out guys.

Birdies.

BOOKS. YAY.

Finally it was time for dinner. We drove about 20 yards and checked in at the Olive Garden and immediately my stomach and soul were excited. I got an email about their 2 for $25 deal going on right now and no-questions-asked, that's where we were going for our anniversary dinner. We first planned going somewhere super fancy, splurging and what-not. But Olive Garden at a good deal was far too wonderful to pass up.

Best salads in the universe.

Calamari and Bruschetta appetizer.

My pasta that was too fancy for my palate.
Shoulda kept it simple and gotten the sausage.
But ah well, it was still delicious!

Mark got the Tuscan Garlic Chicken and it was
HEAVENLY.
We literally saved two bites of that chicken to eat last.

We still had cake and ice cream at home so we didn't have to get expensive tiny treats at the restaurant. This part was hands down my favorite part of the whole anniversary celebrations...

Pajamas, no more contacts, bobby pins, or skinny jeans, and a Dr. Pepper polar pop. Yep. My favorite.
Oh, I completely forgot. We also stopped by Best Buy at some point and bought "How to Train Your Dragon". So we enjoyed that as well.

Last but most certainly not least, I had the best MOH (maid/matron of honor) ever and last year at our wedding, the wonderful Allora video recorded mine and Mark's first dance. Somehow, that never got shared with us during the first year and I completely forgot about it until a couple weeks ago. So we watched that and relived the joy of our first dance as husband and wife one year ago :)
I wanted to share it with you guys too but going from Mac to PC has not been kind and will not let me. Rude.

It's been a grand year and I'm looking forward to many, many more. This next one is already proving to be fairly exciting and full of important, promising decisions. So glad for my sweet husband who is always with me.

There. We're dancing.

And Here's Why....

I've tried really hard to get over it. Really. I want to enjoy it, but I just can't seem to get past it.
Here's why I hate Lady A's "Downtown".

The first verse is great and when it comes on I always think to myself, "this time I'll like it. This isn't so bad! They sound cute and fun!"
But then she gets to the chorus and all I get from it is, "Geez louise, I know why he doesn't take you out no more..."
Like you got anywhere better to be.
Yeah, cuz you're the only worthwhile use of his time.
I'm only counting on your cancellation when I should be counting on you at my door.
Maybe you should go to his door. I dunno.
I got a dress that'll show a little uh-uh...
Ah, good strategy. If he doesn't wanna take you out maybe he'll take your uh-uh out.
But you ain't gettin' uh-uh if you don't come pick me up.
Ultimatum's are always helpful in healthy relationships.
Show me off, you may be tired but I'm not!
Now that's just plain rude. Ever heard of the Golden Rule? Think about the last time you were tired and did something incredibly active and energy-dependent that he wanted to do. Oh, it's been awhile? Huh, I'm so surprised.
By this time I'm hitting the "oh just shut up" point and usually I've already switched to another channel.
I just don't get it.
Exactly.

It's a cute, fiesty song and I'm all for strong, empowered women asking for what they want and maybe there's some other subliminal messaging that I'm just not getting. But...the character of the song irks me. I wouldn't want to date this woman or take her anywhere other than the bus stop to send her far, far away. And by "this woman" I mean, again, the character in the song. Not Hillary Scott herself.
Anybody else have that random song that you just can't stand for no random reason?

Husband Tales

So last night while I was writing up the events from last weekend my husband had some moments and I'd like to share them with y'all.

We were watching some old Psych episodes and a hulu commercial came on. We keep commercials muted so I didn't know what was going on but he explodes, "OH I hate this commercial!" and his sudden vehemence made me laugh especially because I had never seen the commercial before. All I knew was a nice looking black man was sitting with his kids at a restaurant and they had some good looking food so I asked why he hated it so much. Here was his speech;
"The gist is that he says the skillet meal combo with a salad and dessert is what he calls a 'square meal' and his daughter pipes up 'Wouldn't that be a triangle meal? Since there's only three parts?' and he corrects himself saying he should call it a well-rounded meal," and all this time Mark's speaking in this ugly mocking voice and I'm trying really hard not to laugh out loud, "and it's just stupid!! He should tell her 'good job, honey! That's so smart' and reinforce and just...ugh!!"
And for a second I was in stunned silence with this stupid grin on my face because this is the first time I've seen such a fatherly side of Mark. It was the cutest, most attractive thing he's said/done in the longest time and I was perilously close to crying of happiness.

Later, and I can't remember how it came up, but the idea that "you remember what you care about" came up. Mark is the worst when it comes to remembering things. To the point where something we talked about 5 hours earlier for dinner is completely out of his brain by the time he gets home from work. Things I asked him to do, stuff we need to get done, most especially my birthday....it's endearing most of the time. And yet he knows all the stats for a bunch of engines and terms for electronic stuff and can lead a conversation in most anything.
So when he states, "You remember what you care about..." I couldn't help raising my eyebrows at him and saying, "Oh really? Is that what the rule is? I'll keep that in mind," and he gets this pouty look on his face and shouts,
"Ok! You do that and hate your life!"
I could not stop laughing.
Written down it's not nearly as funny as it was at the moment and it actually almost sounds bad but if you knew my husband and were there....

And now I'm at the end of the most recent Grey's Anatomy episode and my heart is about to explode out of my chest. I feel it beating through my whole body. STRESS.

Weekend of Abnormal Awesome

For the past few weeks I've been racking my brain trying to figure out something to blog about other than, "I ate taco bell for lunch today...again."
Unfortunately I'm not kidding. Beefy 5 layers are my achilles heel with a side of pandora's box.
But now because I challenged the universe it blasted me with a weekend consisting of leaving the house before the sun was aware it was supposed to be shining and getting back into bed long after it ditched. It totally ROCKED. Being busy is one of the ultimate oxymorons of life. It's so nice and fun and makes time pass quickly but then it lasts forever and you never have any downtime to just chill.
Thus! My past weekend in a slightly large nutshell. Like a walnut, or maybe even a coconut if I can remember enough of it.

On Friday, I got to my first job at 7 and commenced rehearsing for the Broadway concert coming up the end of this week. It was one of the first times I've run through the "Aida" set with our advanced ensemble and there's some pretty great stuff going on.
Due to rehearsing small bits I also get some down time while our fantastic choreographer shouts, "5, 6, 7, 8" over and over again.

The kids call this my "pianist from High School Musical" look. I'm really excited for the concert. Mainly so I can stop playing a pretty clunky piano reduction of Les Miserables and not have "Mama Mia" stuck in my head anymore. That would be super cool.
For lunch, I did actually have a beefy 5 layer from taco bell. Only the person on the drivethru was incoherent and turns out I accidentally ordered two of 'em. Makes sense that one burrito and a drink wouldn't cost $4. Go figure. So I got to stop by home and eat a quick lunch with the husband. And try to convince him to put on clothes since he was complaining about the house being cold. I dunno, whatevs. I guess he was trying to really enjoy working from home that day.
I went to my second job for a measly 2 hours because I originally needed to leave by 4 to get back to the high school for solo auditions but they had enough employees that day I got to leave extra early. So then I actually was able to do things with my life! Like go grocery shopping and get supplies for the weekend and take my paychecks to the bank. WUT? Crazy.
I also was a bad person and bought some things I shouldn't...but those scrapbooking packs of cardstock paper at walmart KILL me. Also colorful sharpies.
Solo auditions went well, a couple kids ditched but that's to be expected.
And then! I went to the AZ Blogger meet up at Sweet Cakes Cafe with a good friend of mine (the wonderful world of Allie here). We picked up the lovely Kymber on the way and it was SO much fun to finally meet her in person. It's crazy that there are so many gals out there that I feel like I know but I've never actually met them. It's always so fulfilling to experience their personalities in person. And that's what friday night was all about! The blogger meet up was a total blast and I had so much fun. Plus, it was my first time going to Sweet Cakes and I can't believe what I was missing.

That would be an orange zest cinnamon roll, chocolate chip cookie, peanut butter chocolate chip rice krispie, and a soft oreo cookie. I ate it all. ALL of it. And all the gift bags were so cute! I love both the bags I got and used my new mint nail polish today! It's pretty fabulous.
I'm so excited to get to read so many new blogs and get to know more fellow bloggers. Many thanks to Camille and Katie for organizing the whole thing. Can't wait for the next one!
After that, we met up with the husbands at Taylor and Thomas' house for "games" but turns out we're all really good at talking. For a long time. We didn't leave till after midnight. Once we got home, I pulled out my gift bags and finally got to sift through and see the "haul". Mark peeked in the smaller, adorable felt robot bag and piped up, "Is that a kite?!" in the voice of a kid who just got told tomorrow was the day they move into Disneyland.
Anyhow, friday was the epitome of awesome. And saturday was a whole new batch of plans.
In the morning was book club with "The Cover Girls". I just love our name. It's so cute and clever. We're awesome. We read "The Goose Girl" this month and I kind of loved it in a total fangirl-omg-best-thing-ever way.

It was a blast chillin' with  my apparent soul sister Ali and gawk at all the amazing Disney art she has hanging around. Plus ice cream sundaes are always welcome.
THEN! My other soul sister Allie and I went to her house way out at the end of the world (aka San Tan) to begin preparations for the bachelorette party of all parties! Our dearest friend Calli is soon to be wed and we weren't about to let her leave the single world without one last hoorah that provides her with all the....nifty "necessities" of marriage night-life. Or day-life. Whenever-life. I'm sure she'll blog about it too and have all the good pictures so we'll all have to wait for that but in the meantime, enjoy our very own "nailed it!" experience.

Those are not regular milk chocolate kisses. They are hugs. They should definitely be a nice striped white. Not crispy, smelly, burnt brown.

No party is complete without drinks. Virgin or otherwise...

We may not have been able to watch Magic Mike but Channing Tatum still made an appearance. Pin the Kiss on the Hunk was eagerly participated in and one particular kiss hit the jackpot.

The party was a rip roarin' success and so much fun. Hilarity was abundant. And once again, I did not make it home till the wee early hours of the next morning.

Yeah, Channing Tatum. That's a pretty good point to end on.

You're welcome.

Merp Derp

Hey peeps, what's happenin? What is the hip jive diggy deal in the world nowadays? Cuz I been holed up in my house for 3 days straight hackin' up a lung or two or five thanks to ol' Bronchitismus. Lookin' straight up Cullen up in here, that's all I'm sayin'.
Actually, that's a lie I did leave the house saturday evening. Endangered my best friends sacred home with my nasty bronchial infectious spewing of a germy germ fest. What are buds for, right?
Also? NO idea how I came across this bordetella pertussis virus but it has apparently settled in for a nice long stay in my lung region. I also have no real knowledge of what I'm talking about, only the slight information I've gleaned from WebMD and wikipedia searches so I probably got the name wrong and where it "settles". But you get the picture.
The coughing. is. ridiculous. Sometimes it's like coughing up sand and I feel it grating along the back of my throat and I'm pretty sure it's scraped away half of my cells. Other times I can feel the gunk uprooted but it pulls a Nemo's-Dad-Marlin and puts its little amoeba tentacles on either side of my throat and is like, "NO! I will not leave this place....it's nice and moist and warm down here I like it." And then I choke but need air to cough more so I can breathe and suddenly I have a clear idea of what irony really means. My dear hubby is still under the impression that patting people on the back actually helps things. I do so appreciate his attempts to help but usually the beating between the shoulders just knocks whatever wind I had right out of my body. Dear thing doesn't really know his own strength.
Actually he's been a saint through this whole ordeal. A saint while also proving to be the strictest, most stubborn sick warden there ever was. I'm not allowed to walk anywhere without becoming a blanket burrito first, and definitely not without socks on. Oh mama I learned that one quick. ONLY fluids to eat/drink other than the occasional ramen even though I'm terrible and snuck an oatmeal pie and some cheese and crackers and tonight I convinced him to let me make mac'n'cheese. But I'm pretty sure he only agreed to that because we STILL have leftover ham from christmas and it's about to go bad and it's super duper delicioso with some good mac'n'cheese. He also only let me cook it because boiling water makes steam and that's one of the treatment suggestions from WebMD. "Breathe warm moist air". Dude, do you know where I live? (I hope not cuz that'd be weird.) There is not an abundance of moist air here, I assure you.
Oh, here's a story. He went to the store to buy some hot'n'spicy ramen to help with the stuffy nose issue as well as some orange juice (wootwoot vitamin C baby!) and I was thinking what a lovely and caring and dear husband I have. Later that day, I went to the fridge for some cooled water and what do I see in the fridge door? A new, freshly opened bottle of Welch's Sparkling red grape juice.
The little sneak didn't even mention it.
My poor fevered brain was quite confused for a minute. I stared at it trying to remember how many bottles I had originally bought for Christmas/New Years and how many we'd gone through. I saw the red color but I had to check again after shutting the door because I wasn't sure. It was a noticeable difference because usually Mark only likes the White grape juice. But it's ok I teased him about it. And he let me have a little.
He dosed me with garlic pills.
Constantly ordered me "back under the blankets!"
Tirelessly checks on my water consumption and sternly glares at me when the bottle is still half full after barely 30 minutes.
And worst of all! Won't let me kiss him on the mouth not even once as a slight, quick peck! Hmph. So then I just lick his elbow.
Speaking of fevers, the other morning when I woke up I took my temperature but like I said I'd just woken up and it was still dark in the room, the lights were off and I didn't have my glasses on. When the thermometer beeped I pulled it out and squinted at the little screen and lay there in a dull fog while I read "81.01" and wondered if I shouldn't be dead at that temperature. Naturally, I was holding it upside down and was really at 101.8 but I had a good giggle at the time.
Now I think I'm going to need to turn to the thick, medicated stench of Nyquill to help me sleep because this blogging is not doing the trick. I would love to write a post for you whilst under a warm layer of sweet drugs but I've had my say and I already told you. I've been inside our 3-bedroom apartment for 3 days. There is nothing else to talk about.
Cheers and a happy new year to you.
